who we are
Chaos “Big Boy” Robinson
My pup name was Obsidian, but everyone always called me Big Boy. I like that a lot better than big head. People called me that a lot. Hurt my feelings it did. It’s true that my head was much too big for my body. But I’ve grown into it over my first year with my new family.
As far as pedigrees go, they say I am an American Pit Bull Terrier. Though I might have more Mastiff than Terrier, who am I to argue with anyone. Mom and Dad were show dogs, but I never cared for all that training. I am perfectly content being the couch potato that I am.
I do have a bone to pick with people who seem to think all that nonsense means that I am a guard dog. Nothing could be further from the truth. While some of my misguided ancestors were stuck inside arenas with bulls, distracting them long enough for riders to get out of harms way I prefer to herd my humans.
That is when I’m not modeling for them. One of my humans loves to take pictures. So I let her. After all they treat me like a king here. I have a large house where I can sleep in any room I want. That includes couches and beds, especially the huge bed I share with my favorite human.
I also have an extra large yard outside. I get lots of exercise because my favorite human and I go outside and pretend I’m a guard dog. Every day twice a day we “walk the perimeter” of the property. Then once a day we go around the block.
The food here is great, and when I’m a good boy (which is every day), I get paid in hamburgers, chew toys, and puppy cookies. Hey don’t laugh; they taste just like human peanut butter cookies.
My favorite hobby is chewing on things. I love to destroy beer and water bottles. They have this nasty little plastic ring that is so satisfying to chew off. It has a good flavor. For a bonus, I chew the paper label thingy’s off the bottles until the bottles are totally naked.
Every week one of my servants also brings be some rubber chew toys. I like the ones that make noise. The goal is to get the noisemaker out of the toy.

I’m one of Big Boy’s humans. We spend a lot of time together, and he lets me take photos of him every now and then. I know he doesn’t particularly enjoy it though. These days I’m a retired family care-giver. In my past working life, I spent my time in Library Science. If you have an interest, my current resume can be found on this site.
My areas of expertise are Women’s History and Women’s Literature.
As a freelance blog post or article writer, I write in the fields of basic business and technology. I also love to write book reviews and book summaries as needed.
